Miracle Knots Crochet Hair: Textures, Packs & Styling Guide

Miracle Knots crochet hair gives you a way to combine a braided foundation with loose, flowing human hair. The finished look can be sleek and subtly textured, full like a blowout, or defined and wavy. Choosing the right hair starts with three things: the attachment your stylist uses, the texture you want and the total weight your style needs.

Kinky Coily Goddess offers pre-separated human hair crochet extensions with two sides joined by a short, fine connecting string. Our current collection includes Yaki Straight, Kinky Straight, Water Wave and highlighted P4/27/30 Water Wave, in lengths from 16 to 30 inches and 50g, 100g and 300g options.

What are Miracle Knots crochet hair extensions?

Miracle Knots is a name used for an installation approach, rather than a particular hair texture. Pre-separated hair is attached to a prepared braided foundation with a crochet technique. Depending on the stylist’s method, the attachment is concealed among the braids and loose lengths.

For KCG’s version, the hair separates into two sides with a short string joining them in the middle. That connecting section is the attachment point your stylist works with. These are not sewn wefted bundles, clip-ins or ordinary loose bulk hair.

The terms can be confusing: crochet describes the attachment technique; boho describes a finished look with loose hair among braids; Yaki Straight, Kinky Straight and Water Wave describe textures. You can choose a straight boho look as well as a wavy one. Show your stylist the product’s attachment photograph before ordering so they can confirm it suits their method.

Miracle Knots, traditional boho braids or a sew-in?

Option What is attached? What to confirm before buying
Miracle Knots with pre-separated crochet hair Prepared hair sections attached to a braided base using the stylist’s crochet method. Short-string compatibility, braid pattern and total grams.
Boho braids using loose bulk hair Loose hair without a weft, incorporated into or added to braids as the stylist works. Whether your stylist wants loose bulk or pre-separated crochet hair.
Crochet styles over cornrows Hair attached to a cornrow foundation; products and attachment designs vary. The base pattern and the exact crochet hair needed.
Sew-in with wefted bundles Hair stitched along a track, which is sewn onto the prepared base. Number and weight of bundles, plus any closure or leave-out.

If your stylist has asked for loose braiding hair or wefts, do not substitute a crochet product without checking. Our bulk human hair vs wefted bundles guide explains those constructions in more detail.

Which Miracle Knots texture should you choose?

Start with the finish you want to see every day. Do you love a smooth, straight silhouette, the fullness of stretched natural hair, or loose waves moving between your braids? Match that preference first, then decide on length and quantity.

Your preferred finish KCG option Why choose it?
Straight with subtle texture Yaki Straight A sleeker silhouette with the character of straightened natural hair.
Full, stretched or blowout-inspired Kinky Straight More visible texture and airy fullness than Yaki Straight.
Defined waves in black Water Wave Movement and wave definition through the loose lengths.
Defined waves with warm highlights P4/27/30 Water Wave Brown, golden-blonde and warm copper tones for dimension.

Yaki Straight: a sleek boho finish with texture

Yaki Straight suits shoppers who want long, straight hair without a completely glass-smooth finish. Fine braids at the roots can blend into loose, subtly textured lengths, keeping the overall silhouette polished. It is the smoother-looking straight option in this collection.

Kinky Straight: fuller, blowout-inspired texture

Kinky Straight has a more pronounced texture through the loose lengths, giving a stretched or blowout-inspired appearance. Choose it when you want visible fullness and a softer outline around the braids. It is not the same as a defined kinky-curly coil pattern.

Yaki Straight and Kinky Straight can create similar braided-root styles, but the loose hair changes the result. If you prefer a sleeker outline, choose Yaki. If textured volume is your priority, choose Kinky Straight.

Water Wave: defined movement for boho braids

Water Wave is the choice for a visibly wavy finish. Loose sections bring movement around the braids and face, making it a different look from either straight texture. Plan for gentle detangling and a routine that preserves the wave pattern rather than brushing it into a fluffy finish.

P4/27/30 Water Wave: warm highlighted dimension

This option pairs Water Wave’s defined movement with a blend of brown, golden-blonde and warm copper tones. It is a way to bring lighter colour into the extension lengths without making colouring your own hair part of the plan.

Check the full product gallery with your stylist when coordinating the braid base and extension colour. Screens, lighting and the distribution of highlighted strands affect how the blend appears.

How many packs of Miracle Knots hair do you need?

Ask your stylist for a total weight in grams before choosing a pack count. There is no single pack number that guarantees a full head: section size, braid count, desired fullness, length and the amount of loose hair all affect the requirement. Pack weights also differ between brands.

KCG offers 50g and 100g packs, plus a 300g option supplied as three 100g packs of the same selected length and shade. Three 50g packs total 150g; three 100g packs total 300g. Those are very different orders.

Stylist’s requested total Using 50g packs Using 100g packs or a combination
100g 2 × 50g 1 × 100g
150g 3 × 50g 1 × 100g + 1 × 50g
200g 4 × 50g 2 × 100g
250g 5 × 50g 2 × 100g + 1 × 50g
300g 6 × 50g 3 × 100g, or the 300g option
400g 8 × 50g 4 × 100g, or 300g + 100g

This is a weight conversion chart, not a recommendation that every hairstyle requires one of these amounts. A 50g pack can suit an accent, top-up or addition to a planned total. A 100g pack is a building block for your stylist’s specification. The 300g option is convenient when your stylist has asked for 300g; it does not guarantee the coverage or volume in a model photograph.

Do not estimate pieces per pack from weight alone. If your stylist needs a specific section count, contact KCG before ordering so the requirement can be checked.

Choosing your length and shade

The current collection offers 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 and 30 inches. Decide where you want the finished hair to fall with your stylist. Height, torso length, installation position and texture affect the visible result; the same stated length will not sit at the same body point on everyone.

For a more manageable everyday look, discuss the shorter end of the range. For a long statement style, discuss the longer lengths and the weight needed to create your preferred density. A wavy style’s resting shape can look shorter than a straighter style, so compare texture as well as the number on the selector.

Yaki Straight, Kinky Straight and black Water Wave offer Natural Black and Jet Black selections. P4/27/30 is the highlighted Water Wave option. Confirm your shade, length and weight together on the product page; the selected combination determines the displayed price.

Before your Miracle Knots appointment

Agree the design with your stylist before buying. A photograph can communicate the look, but it does not tell them how much hair was used or which attachment method created it.

  1. Share the product and attachment image. Confirm the short connecting string works with their crochet technique.
  2. Agree the braid foundation. Discuss the parting, braid size, hairline and how much loose hair you want visible.
  3. Get a shopping specification. Ask for texture, colour, length, total grams and any separate braiding hair they require.
  4. Allow time for your order. These products are made to order. The current estimate is 2–3 weeks; allow up to 4 weeks for planning and arrange installation after the hair arrives.

A message to send your stylist: “I’d like this Miracle Knots look using KCG [texture] in [shade] and [length]. The hair is pre-separated with two sides joined by a short string. Does that suit your method, how many grams do I need, and should I buy any separate braiding hair?”

Installation time depends on the stylist, base and design, so request an appointment estimate rather than assuming every Miracle Knots service takes the same time. The attachment method does not automatically make a style tension-free. If braids feel painful or excessively tight, ask for them to be adjusted.

How to care for human hair crochet extensions

A good routine looks after both the loose extensions and the braided foundation. Ask your stylist how to cleanse and dry the specific installation, especially around the attachment points.

  • Detangle gently. Work from the ends upward in manageable sections while supporting the hair near the attachment.
  • Keep the scalp and base clean. Follow a suitable cleansing routine and dry the foundation thoroughly.
  • Condition the lengths. Avoid heavy product build-up around the connecting sections.
  • Preserve your texture. Be gentle with Water Wave and avoid dry brushing if you want to retain definition. Minimise heat rather than relying on it to recreate the finish daily.
  • Protect the style overnight. Arrange the loose hair gently and use a satin bonnet or scarf without pulling on the roots.
  • Plan careful removal. Have your stylist identify and release the attachment points; do not pull sections out.

Read our human hair extensions care guide for more detail. Reuse depends on the condition of the hair and connecting sections after removal; it should not be assumed or promised for every installation.

Miracle Knots crochet hair FAQs

Can Miracle Knots be straight, or do they have to be curly?

They can be straight. Miracle Knots describes the installation approach, not the curl pattern. KCG offers Yaki Straight and Kinky Straight alongside Water Wave and highlighted Water Wave.

Is Miracle Knots hair the same as bulk human braiding hair?

No. Loose bulk hair has no sewn weft and is supplied for your stylist to separate and work with. KCG crochet hair is already separated into sections with a short connecting string. Confirm which construction your stylist needs.

Are Miracle Knots and knotless braids the same thing?

The terms describe different aspects of a hairstyle. Knotless refers to how the braid begins, while Miracle Knots refers to the crochet attachment approach used for the added hair. A stylist may combine techniques, but the finished photo alone does not confirm how a style was installed.

Is 300g enough for a full head?

It may suit a stylist’s planned design, but it is not a universal full-head quantity. Confirm the total grams needed for your length, braid count and desired fullness. KCG’s 300g selection contains three 100g packs.

How many 50g packs equal three 100g packs?

Six 50g packs equal 300g, which is the same total weight as three 100g packs. Three 50g packs equal only 150g.

Does the pack include a finished braided hairstyle?

No. You are buying human hair crochet extensions for installation, not a ready-to-wear wig or a completed braided style. Your stylist creates the foundation and attaches the extensions.

How long do Miracle Knots last?

There is no single wear period that suits every scalp, braid base and maintenance routine. Agree a maintenance and removal plan with your stylist, and do not keep a style in just to reach a claimed number of weeks.

Can I reuse the crochet hair?

Possibly, if both the hair and its connecting sections remain suitable after careful removal. Ask your stylist to assess them before planning another installation.

Is the collection ready to ship?

These Miracle Knots products are made to order. The current estimate is 2–3 weeks, with up to 4 weeks allowed for planning. Check the product page when ordering and book installation after delivery.

Choose your style

For a subtly textured straight finish, explore Yaki Straight. For fuller, blowout-inspired lengths, choose Kinky Straight. For defined movement, browse Water Wave, or add warm dimension with P4/27/30 Water Wave.

Once your stylist has confirmed the attachment and total grams, select your shade, length and pack weight. That is the clearest route from a saved inspiration photo to an order that fits your appointment.
